A clean facility keeps families healthy
Hope Montessori Academies adhere to advanced cleaning procedures:
- Daily laundering of soft items and bedding
- Multi-Step Cleaning Process
- Disinfect Classrooms throughout the day
- Deep Cleaning for entire Academy
- Limiting items brought into the Academy
Squeaky Clean
Hand washing is one of the best ways to help prevent the spread of germs. Make hand washing fun with some of the following activities we use in our classrooms:
- Sing the alphabet song together for a good 20-second scrub
- Fill up a container with water, soap, and sponges for some sensory play
- Use soap that comes in different colors and try to guess the color of the suds
Staying Healthy Academy Requirements
- Staff and children are required to be in good health before coming to school. Our policies provided at enrollment outline these guidelines and reinforce the importance, resulting in fewer illnesses and creating a healthier environment for everyone
- Frequent disinfecting and sanitizing of high-touch toys and surfaces
- Frequent handwashing by children and staff
- Training teachers on common signs of illness in children
- Daily laundering of crib sheets for infants
- Continuous health & safety required training for administrators and staff, including first aid and CPR overview for all Hope staff and first aid/CPR certification for the majority of Hope staff.
Hope Montessori Academy Team Employment Requirements
HMA teachers and staff are rigorously screened using FBI fingerprinting and background checks. We have strict procedures in place to ensure that every one of our staff members meets or exceeds the minimum Colorado regulatory agencies’ requirements. Additionally, we provide continued education courses for age-appropriate educational techniques, and health and safety practices.
Teachers are trained to keep children of every age safe. All teachers, regardless of if they are directly working with infants or not, are trained in SIDS prevention and safe sleeping practices. HMA classrooms are designed with the children’s utmost safety in mind.
HMA has procedures are in place so that children are only released to people that you have authorized. Access to the building requires a security code for entrance. Every pre-authorized person must show a photo ID before any child is released to them.
Fueling Healthy Development
HMA’s menus are posted to let families know what to expect from our kitchen. Our menu is a rotating 4-week menu with nutritious meals each day. A healthy child is better able to learn and grow, both academically and socially. Mealtime is also an excellent opportunity for children to work on their social skills while providing them with happy and healthy fuel. HMA practices family style meals in all age groups beginning with Toddlers in which our teachers model appropriate mealtime interaction and teaching children how to serve their own portions!
